PET/PE – Standard structure for many beverages, kids drinks and household liquids. PET provides printability and stiffness, while PE offers strong seals and good squeeze feel.
PET/AL/PE – High-barrier structure for aroma- and light-sensitive products such as flavored drinks, sauces and certain nutraceutical liquids that require longer shelf life.
PA/PE – Tough structure for viscous, high-density or sharp-edged products and industrial liquids, where puncture resistance and drop strength are critical.

Are spout pouches environmentally friendly?

Yes. Compared with rigid bottles and cans, spout pouches use much less material, reduce transportation weight and lower carbon footprint. We can also offer mono-material PE spout pouches similar to our Recyclable Pouches. Actual recyclability, however, depends on local recycling facilities and regulations.

How long can products be stored in spout pouches?

With the right film structure and filling process, many products can reach 12–24 months of shelf life, as indicated in our current projects. The exact shelf life depends on your product type, barrier requirements, filling temperature and storage conditions, so we will evaluate this together with you.

What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for custom spout pouches?

For most custom spout pouches, our standard MOQ starts from around 1,000–5,000 bags per design, depending on size, structure and printing method. For plain or digitally printed pouches, we may accept even smaller trial quantities. Please share your project details and we will confirm the most economical MOQ.

Can your spout pouches handle hot filling or retort processes?

Yes. For hot-filled beverages and sauces, we can design heat-resistant structures that maintain seal strength at higher filling temperatures. For full retort (up to about 121°C), we may recommend special retortable spout pouches or other Retort Pouches
depending on your process time and pressure.

Which materials do you recommend for different liquids?

For standard beverages and household liquids, PET/PE structures are usually sufficient. For aroma- or light-sensitive products, PET/AL/PE may be better. For viscous, high-density or more demanding products, PA/PE structures provide extra puncture resistance and drop strength. If you share your product data, we will propose 1–2 options with a clear explanation.

Can CloudFilm match my existing spout pouch sample?

In most cases, yes. If you send us a physical sample, we can analyze the structure, approximate thickness, spout type and printing style, then propose either a close match or an optimized alternative based on our film portfolio and pouch-making capabilities.

Do you only supply finished spout pouches, or can you also provide roll films?

We can supply both. Many customers purchase ready-made spout pouches from us, while others buy laminated roll films such as PET/PE Film
and PA/PE Film for in-house pouch making or local converting. This gives you flexibility in how you organize your production.

What is the typical lead time for spout pouches?

After artwork approval, cylinder or plate making and production normally take about 7–10 days for standard structures, plus shipping time to your port. For urgent projects, we can sometimes arrange priority scheduling. We will provide a detailed timeline once we know your order quantity, structure and delivery term.
